Navigating the school system when you have questions can be a time-consuming process. The Department of Special Education and The Family Support Center would like to provide information to streamline that process for you. Join us as we answer questions related to transportation, student health, and safety. We will have representatives from the Transportation Department, Health Services, and the Family Support Center. They will join us to share tips on how to get the information that you are seeking.

HELP, I Cannot Get my Child Off the Screen!

The Internet has become one of the most significant sources of information and entertainment for children and adolescents. With the advent of distance learning, due to the Covid 19- pandemic, many students have substantially increased their daily usage. Do you feel that your child has become increasingly attached to the screen (cellphones, gaming, and computers)? Come learn about strategies that you and your family can use to monitor and reduce screen time. You will also hear about the steps should you consider if your child is having difficulties backing away from the screen.

Supporting Families with Students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) through the Autism Waiver

This session is designed to provide families with information about the Autism Waiver. The waiver provides opportunities for students with ASD to receive specialized services, such as intensive individual support services, therapeutic integration, and residential habilitation.
